Ok, i was just emailed these pics, what do you all think of them.


In the pic of the eagle RZM, the M is partially worn off.

Seems like some really good detail in the head of the eagle, something i dont see in the fakes.

Please let me know.

Neither of them match known originals in design detail.

There sure is!

My advice is to start saving every pic you can of both originals and fakes of these and make a folder for each type (real / fake / eagle deathshead)

I started doing that last week, i have 2 folders in my pictures, 1 is for good/original, and the other is for bad/reproduction Cap Eagles / Skulls.


There was so much good detail in the head of the eagle.

Those are one of the easiest fakes to spot.
compare with these...you'll understand.

well, most guys are looking for bargains I guess.

Oh, so they want authentic SS insignia for the bargain price of fakes??? I never thought of collecting that way. Well, I hope them good luck now that we are here to help them.

The items I had to grit my teeth to pay for are the bargains of the past. I remember a hard work week's pay for an SS skull, when they were $75.00 and I was making $2.00 an hour. I just paid the price and they are worth very much today. Those are the times I remember, but it was never cheap.

I can't keep an original skull for 5 minutes, at a show. I will just have to wait to sell to serious collectors, at the shows.

I saw them. I have interest. Its funds I lack. Knowing what I learned after joining here, and would only consider buying this type item from sources like Bob. Way too risky. But as noted, then no "killer ebay" bargain, but as I think Bob himself has stated, we each build the collection we deserve, and I will add, can afford.
