I collect insignia. I used to collect just about everything TR. However, in recent years, I have sold off everything but SS and focused exclusively on that. I have a particular passion for metal cap insignia and study it a lot. Hence, I may know a bit more about it than the average collector.

I'm amazed about how something like that would be a sorce of study,I must be getting to old for this stuff????I have a good pal up in Vermont who been collection SA daggers by reare maker marks.All 33 SA's look a like to me ,you got one you got'm all,or collecting IC2nd by LDO number.I rather put my money into an item I did not have,O'well to each his own

2 years ago I knew nothing about SS metal insignia. Now I have studied these little skulls and eagles very hard (with a lot of help from Brad and others) I've come to the conclusion that I know a little about these things.
It's a mine field, but very interesting.
