Sid what about this example from the thread I attached? It is rusted so steel construction or ground dug discoloration? Were they not all aluminium. Thanks in advance. Best regards.

Using only photos I hesitate to comment on metals or whether an item has indeed been dug. However, PRINZEUGEN 03-24-2009 posted a skull with similar cosmetics. The discussion of Latvian versus Estonian skulls is indeed quite complex, complicated by terminology since TARTU is in Estonia. I much prefer DAVEWARD's appellation JAY LENO skull when describing this skull button originally posted by ARKANBUC 06-21-2015. I appreciate the humor when one encounters a fake of a fake, confusion of Overhoff and Deschler production methods, or perhaps in the case of this button, the maker may have copied one of the skulls under discussion....Doug.

It is a lowgrade fake from the Balkan. It is not the Latvian type skull.
