    If he is cheap enough Kris I would buy him. He looks like a nice worn cupal one to me.

    I also don't understand where that "type 3" comes from.

    Hello Peter, Sid,
    the type 3 is my classification.
    I am still on a learning curve with Deschler skulls but in my opinion the variants that are marked M1/52 follow a line of:
    Aluminium skull with the crimped in prongs.
    The zinc skull with the crimped in prongs and then the more familiar zinc with soldered prongs on a round base plate.
    I know there are other variations, for example the ones marked D&SMGesGesch, RZM GesGesch and the plain marked 52 but these are quite rare I believe

    That's ok, no problem. There's indeed some more rarer variations of them.
