Sorry x10 for the terrible pictures my phone is ancient and does not focus.
Does this eagle compare to the first at all or is the head a sign of a fake. I think it is over polished if it is an original but the head looks off to me. It is unmarked.

While accurate images are needed in this case, I am not encouraged by the evidence you present.
Fakes of these have existed since the 1960s, to be sure.
This sort of exercise is not very fruitful for anyone.

Thank you I was pretty sure that it is bad, I just did not want to pass it up if it was not. I have yet to purchase anything related to the SS.

Best then that you focus your interest in the few places of light versus the general darkness and trickery that are the norm.
You can get lucky, of course, but not without preparation.

I would be skeptical of this eagle. From the photos it looks as if the head is tilted upwards rather than looking to its side. Although it could be bent. Also, are there any markings on the reverse?

No markings, the head has little to no detail and is facing right. The swastika has rounded / poor detail all I thought were possibilities of it being worn down, but I know the odds of me finding an authentic one are pretty low.

My images are not really clear, either, frankly, but your badge is very likely fake and was around when I was a wee pup.
