Mine passes a black light test too. Has the same Alten garde, 60x90, etc markings as well.
I will talk to my grandfather tomorrow about what year he got it, and more information on it, i know he paid 25 dollars for it, he has been a collector his whole life and said its real I will get back tomorrow night with pics of it too.

LIFE'S LOSERS NEVER LEARN FROM THE ERROR OF THEIR WAYS.
Mine has two lines of sewing where the white cotton 'edging' is attached,
and this thread glows bright under a blacklight, while the cotton
flag itself does not.........

Steve.
What would the correct size of the original flag be.
and the one I have has a German swastika stamp with the eagle on it also, I didn't see that stamp on the other ones I have seen
Listen to what the members say!Bob Coleman hit it right on the head that it is a Delta International fake!! I have several of there catalogs from the 70's and here is the description of the flag you posted."Der Alten Garde" flag and the ad states an exceptionally colorful flag in five colors.About 3x2 feet w/halyard and proof marks!!!! for $17.50.I cautain new and old alike stop with the black light nonsense.Get a copy of the article that appeared in "THE MILITARY ADVISOR" on this so called god like light that so many use now!!!It is a tool but it is not the last word in making any piece original or fake anything!Don't believe me just get the article and read it throughly please !
