An interesting piece but still not something I would consider to be period original. The majority of the fake flags around were made by Delta International in the early 1970's. I would consider this a newer version with the fringe3 added for a different look from the multitude of fakes.

Thanks for the input gents.
It would be interesting to see the similarities of a cccp flag and this flag when it comes to the fringe.
It wouldnt surprised me a bit if someone cannibalized a cccp flag just to upgrade their nsdap flag.
Just a hint from me.
If the flag is really a genuine one...it should be ALTE GARDE on the flag...not ALTEN GARDE.
That's a bad grammatical mistake

ORGANISATIONSBUCH DER NSDAP 1943: Tafel 1 Standarte des Führers und Fahne der Alten Garde der NSDAP. Colour plate showing flag and standard (guidon of Adolf ...it's described as Alten in the Organisation book..cheers
German case grammar …
Nominative: die Alte Garde
Genitive: der alten Garde
The wording in the Org book is therefore correct, but the printing on the flag still wrong.
