    Hello CBH is quite right.
The text on the top ribbon pictured is normally found on Mourning ribbons or wreath ribbons
and the bottom bit mentions the war comrades Community for Wurmlingen a town in Baden-Württemberg.

So a rough guess would be a sash for an old comrade who passed away.

    Cheers

Although it's ripped in half, it's a nice looking funeral sash. I like it

Thanks for the responses, I have plans of having it framed properly, so it can be viewed and preserved as much as possible. The seller told me it was some kind of silk paper, not sure what he meant, but the texture is more like create paper. Never-the-less, it's a cool piece. Thanks again.

It certainly looks like seidenpapier as the seller suggests.
It should feel a little like tracing paper.

It has certainly kept a good colour

That's exactly what it feels like, ty. I believe it was kept in this plastic sleeve, that's it's in now. Awesome, very helpful.

As has been said above, it's a sash for a funeral wreath. The text translates as:

    "To their comrade,
    'a last salute'
    Veterans' Association
    Wurmlingen"

There are two places named Wurmlingen, both in Baden-Württemberg.
