I like it as well when the soldier's name and regimental number are on things. It makes the trophy real, in my opinion.

So, I'm finding out on this forum some of my stuff is fake. My flag looks real though right? Now I'm all paranoid. It had a loose thread, so I did the burn test years ago when I got it, and it definitely passed that. It smells like old cloth too, always did. It's rough and dry feeling.

dude...I found out about 3/4 of my Third Reich stuff were fakes that the more senior people pointed out quickly...some I should have caught, and other very clever forgeries. It's a very humbling experience to go through the collection, abut... it makes you smarter the next time around. I am sure everyone on this forum has been duped, and there is a thread about it . I would try to find it, but I am at work right now, trying not to let on I am cruising the forum and not recording inventory.
The flags shown are all original...No worries.
cheers, Glenn

Whew. Thanks Glenn! My flag's an important part of my collection. That being fake would just gut me.
