HELP with Rare DRK penant

Hi guys i purchased this a couple of years ago and have tried to find pictures of one in use, i have seen one somewhere but i cant recall where, when i started searching about info on one there dosent seem to be any pictures whatsoever, could anyone give me any information on it please and if it is a rare item thankyou in advance Ronnie

Hi Ronnie, it is a very nice item indeed.

It is from the district of Diepholz in Lower Saxony. I expect it was liberated by a British soldier given the location?

I cannot recall seeing many of these on the market. I don't have a period photo of one in use.

Thanks Ade i have tried and tried looking for one in use i do remember seeing it maybe in a book i have seen one, if you look for one on the net this seems to be the only one "off a previous post" that comes up so do you think i am right in saying "Rare" or even ultra rare

Hi Ronnie, "rare" is a much over used word in this hobby, but I think in this case it is justified.

I knew I had seen one before and I remembered where. It is in the German Red Cross Museum in Nuremberg.
