Nice pick up.. I especially like the embroidery pattern on the unit number.. Are you sure about the clips ?? G
G Man. Hey Braddha. I believe Clips are fine. I have seen about 4 different clip variations on these types of wimpels / banners. Thread securing clips is for sure period sewn and stitched.
Cheers! Rossi

No oxidation on the hooks and the thread looks fibrous on the ends ( Frayed ) in my opinion.. Very suspicious and not the typical lanyard holders I would be comfortable with.. In the end I am hopeful it is good. It just looks too new with modern fasteners.... Just my two cents..

Thanks G. Clips are slightly different than the ones you show if you look closely. IMHO they are fine. Always open to anyone's opinions and thoughts however.
Here is one from a prior post on WRF that shows similar clips:

as said before this is not HJ at all, but Bund Deutscher Mädel,
so for girls. Actually it is a Mädelgruppenwimpel (elder girls).
See my HJ-handbook page 628.
It is from the Recklinghausen-area in Westfalen (see page 689).
