how to store a large flag?
i don`t have the space to properly display a large flag on the wall etc, but how do i preserve it?
stored in the drawer?
put in a plastic wrapper?
any info. is appreciated : )
i was thinking of buying a state service flag 184cm x 236cm.
someone who is NOT an addict to collecting like me asked me what was the point of getting a too large item to display?!!!
i didn`t answer him properly because i thought that question was ignorant ( i just said to myself that the reason was that i want it).

don't wrap it in plastic. find large tube - maybe a length of cardboard concrete form or a 4-6 inch plastic water pipe, cut it to length then wrap the round form with an unbleached cotton bed sheet - tie the sheet to the form with a shoelace in a few places, then roll your flag on the form loosely. then wrap the flag with a sheet the same as the first stage, tie it loosely. if you have a basement or a loft run a rope or a dowl through the pipe form and hang the whole thing like a hammock in a dark place that has lower humidity.

NO plastic and a clean vacuumed textile does not need to be exposed to naphthalene as it can ract with the dyes and negatively affect the textile.
