well the sizing on the side says it is 1 m by 1.7 m meaning it could've well been flown on a uboat, what do u guys think of the price??

You have mis-read the list: this is too big to have been used on a U Boat.

The price is good even considering the moth damage.

Regardless of the vessel that this flag was used on, it appears to be a nice original period piece. Some my say that the price is a little high, but I would suggest that you buy it if you want it. They don't come around every day so it could be a good chance to pick up a nice item. Good luck!

On the list it is #6 - Torpedo boat !

Asking $270 - Offer $250. ( I've seen these as high as $750 )
It would already be at my place at $250/$270.

Somewhere I read a list that contained all the sizes for particular ships, boats etc,
but I don't remember where. Might have been here or Google ?

Red stamp is just a variation I suppose, but the markings and re-enforcing
stitching look good to me. I got burned by a fake of this type, so you
wake up pretty quickly as to what to look for !

They are named 'Reichkriegsflagg', or 'National War Flag', and without
the Eagle-M stamp were used for a variety of purposes
ie: schools, businesses, etc.........
