what year did DI start making fake flags< most say in the 70s you say the late 60s< Do you know what the EXACT year was, I called them and they said they started making flags in 1979...

It was definitely much earlier than 1979. Where are you going with this? Without any further productive posts, this thread seems to have run it's course.

The only version that I'm comfortable with is the penant version pictured in Jeff Clark's book Uniforms of the NSDAP. I have never seen a real flag version to date.

I agree. If anything, the vehicle flag indicates a minimum of what the quality would have been for the original flag.
