Gents, did this flag originally start life as an SA flag, and been modified post war, or is it a fantasy item and has been created out of whole cloth? Just curious, as I am more familiar with SA Sturmfahne...

SA sturmfahne never had black fringe. From the pictures, it appears to be a period piece but I would not make a decision just from the pictures.
