RAD Flag & Pole Top Display

She was brought into the collection today. This piece was worth the wait, minty & unissued. Only a couple small moth holes but overall the colors are amazing and very nice. I sat for about 15 minutes and just stared at the workmanship as it has been years since I saw one up close. Totally geeked out on taking pictures of the embroidered thread on wreath and individually sewn material panels on both sides. The quality and weight of these is amazing.

As much as I wanted one with a unit panel or one that was named this one works for me. I tried like hell to have it stand upright with the pole top and pole in my room. Trying to stand it up does not do it justice without being on full glory display so I hung sideways. It's weight won over my patience. It is such a 3 dimensional flag and the design of roundel pops off these like no other flag in my opinion with the swaz being its accent. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Thanks Avenger and Michael. Been fun. Yes. The boat is needing to be bigger. My son graduates soon and another one in college. This might be my last birthday and father's day gift for awhile. But we have an empty bedroom next to my closed in office. A sledge hammer and archway may yield another bunker for future militaria.
