Welcome to the Forum. It was not unusual for RAD standarte's to have a honor name patch. However, although the family continued in to the 20th century, all honor names were those of historical Germans. They were never named after contemporary individuals. Part of the Nazi philosophy was ro promote Aryan supremacy by making links with Germanic heros of the past. You have a very nice piece.
