I picked up a non-marine war flag. I think it's in pretty good shape, but perhaps you all can tell me what condition you'd rate it in. I've gone over it thoroughly, and it has 1 match head sized hole (3mm - 4mm) and 6 other tiny 1mm to 2mm sized holes on it. The color, as the photos show, is very vibrant and overall the flag is otherwise very clean with two spots of blackish dirt (one of which is by the larger hole pictured below).

I really want to call this near mint, but I have a feeling I'd be too generous with that. How does it look to you?

All that business aside, this is my first battle flag. I have wanted one of these for about 15 years, so this is a great moment for for my fledgling collection! I always assumed I wouldn't be able to afford one, but through the blessing of a steady job, here it is. Now I just have to keep it this nice till my son inherits it.

Excellent condition flag, for sure. Colors are as bright as the day it was made. It has Just the right hint of age to it to let you know that "it was there"! Nothing to worry on This beauty! Nicely maker marked And a fine displayable size as well! Nice pick up!
