Hi, from what I can see from the pictures provided, this is an original vehicle id marker type "flag".

Thank you for all of your replies. I have owned it for 25 years but always had my doubts mainly because I assumed that all 'Flags' should have a Hoist Edge and as this one did not it was therefore fake. I did not realise that there were specific vehicle ID Flags. Also the material of this flag is slightly different from another Flag which I own which has been authenticated on the Forum. Thanks again. Great to receive good news!
I should have also said, it is only 'one' sided, if that makes a difference?
