WW2 flag standard banner top?

Hi, doesn't know if this is the right topic to post in. Anyway, this was found in my local antique store. The owner of the store thinks it's from the front of a car, I think it coud be a flag standard (the decorative thing on the top of a flag), or maybe it's just a fantasy item. He is unsure of the originality, he thinks it is bad made. Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

I would say this is a repro for sure. The quality is terrible.

It would be for the WW1 Veterans Association, the Kyffhäuserbund.

Here's an original RKB/Reichskriegerbund pole-top...the difference in quality is easily apparent, in my opinion...

An ugly attempt. It is better to let the antique shop owner retain custody of this garbage.

Thanks for all inputs. I would agree that it is a quite obvious fake when you look at the quality.

Reproduction, I have one. When looking at these, look at bottom to se if it has the marks were it was sawed off. One of my friend’s learned that the hard way.

I am not trying to be a smart aleck, but the proper term for "The thing at the top of a flagpole" is called a Finial. If you are going to collect flags and related accoutrements, it is helpful to study vexillological terms. It makes collecting flags all the more interesting.
