early sa dagger HANEL

Description: very nice early SA dagger by HAENEL of SUHL ! sa gruppe sachsen marked on crossguard. original wooden grip is tight with a wonderful deep rich dark color and grain, eagle in grip is tight as well as SA symbol. there is a very small crack at the 12 oclock position just above the SA symbol, the fittings and handle, blade etc. are tight never being tampered with or taken appart. the blade does show some light spotting and scratches from removal from scabbard, i believe this blade to have been cleaned long ago, the scabbards ball at the end had quite the ding and one small ding in the scabbard. scabbard fittings are still rock solid tight with screws never being removed or chewed up, scabbard does show loss of finish and wear but nothing too bad. a rock solid piece fresh out of the woodwork coming from a us army sargeants son. direct vet family pickup. i do not believe this has been sharpened but has quite the factory edge.
