Description:
German WWII Artillery Officer's Tunic. It has a tailor's label and a name tag for the officer that it belonged to. The tunic is all original. It does have some wear and some repairs. However, it does not have any mothing. The award loops appear to me to be original as well, although a couple of them have broke at some point and have been repaired. The back of the collar has come apart and been repaired. Obviously, this could be an indicator that the tabs are replaced, but look at the way they are constructed and how the color of the surrounding fabric is a perfect match. I am sure these are the original tabs. The ribbon bar appears to be original to the tunic and indicates that the officer served on the Russian front. The price reflects the repairs, but how often do you see a named tunic available for less than $1000? Additional photos are available.
