Description: Up for sale is this nice tropical camo M40 Luft. Mahker and size is EF68 Lot # 170.
The camo application conssits of tan overpaint with green lightly added in places.
The luft decal can be seen under the paint.
The liner leather is still supple, but darkened which is typical of these helmets that were used in a hot climate.
The liner band has been struck with something at the front at some point which I have shown in a photo.
Nicely stamped chinstrap
The only downside is that there is a swastika scratched in the paint on each side, they are not very noticeable when the helmet is displayed and the photos shown them worse than they are in hand.
