Description: Here is a very nice, near mint SD Police helmet. Liner is dated 1944. Faint dome stamp. The Photo of the top of the helemt most accuratly represents the dark green field grey textured orrigonal paint.
Liner is tight and in excellent pliable condition and a massive 61cm.
Chinstrap is not original to helmet. It came with a repro, so I added the current one. It is dry and the long strap is broken. It is a late war strap and looks all right with the helmet.
My collecting focus has moved to Heer helmets only. I will take trades for SS insignia (EM blank black tab, EM sleeve eagle) or SD Heer helemts (66 or 68 shells) of equivalent value or +- cash.
