Description: A solid M40 NS Heer helmet. Great decal. Liner is soft but torn between two of the fingers at the rear (see photos). The helmet did not have a drawstring when I got it. I added the string that is in it and used it to help tie the torn fingers to keep it from getting worse. I will leave the string in it. I do not know that it is a period authentic drawstring, but either way it comes with the helmet. It's missing the chin strap and I had added a strap to complete the look while displayed in my collection, but removed it for the photos. If the buyer wants the strap we can negotiate. Faint dome stamp. Liner band looks to be dated 1942. Split pins have not been messed with. I do not know what is written on the right side, but that was there when I got the helmet.
You don't see a lot of NS M40 Heer's come up for sale that often.
