Description: Here is a rare Quist M42 shell. Size 64. It has a dark green brush applied paint job, the opinion on this is that it is probably post war. The interior is the original finish IMO. No evidence of having been repainted black for use post war as a fire helmet, unlike most other lids of this type that I have seen. I don't know of another Quist M42 for sale anywhere at the moment.
