Description: The sheet steel construction helmet retains about 80% of its field-grey paint. The left side of the helmet has a black lined, Wehrmacht eagle decal which is retained about 85%. The right side of the helmet has a field applied national tri-color decal which is retained about 85%. All three liner retaining rivets are retained. The interior of the helmet has an M31 tan leather liner with all of its fingers intact. The liner is in overall good condition showing light chafe wear to the edges. The interior reverse neck guard apron is serial number stamped, "DN62", and the interior left side apron is stamped with the manufacturers code and size, "NS64", indicating manufacture by Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke, AG. Schwerte, size 64. The chinstrap is intact. Nice very scarce DD helmet in excellent condition.
