Description: German WWII Hitler Youth Knife with Scabbard by RZM M7/51/41 (Anton Wingen Jr.) This Hitler Youth Knife includes a hilt that appears to have a heavy steel base with a very nice nickel plating. It retains an attractive semi-patina with the plating grading 98%. The pommel shows very minor surface/edge wear. (No lifting to nickel finish) The black bakelite grip plates are as crisp and tight. There is one crack to reverse side of grip. Reverse side of grip has an period done repair with brass retainer rivet. The enameled HJ insignia shows signs or wear and scuff marks if looked upon very close. The black checkered grips are retained by aluminum rivets with dressed obverse heads. The blade has been lightly sharpened. Stamped on the reverse ricasso is the small closed RZM circle. To the right of the circle is the Anton Wingen, Jr. code M 7/51/41. The 41 signifies the date that this knife was produced (1941). The original thick black leather washer is intact. The scabbard is totally straight throughout with NO dents or dings. The original black paint grades 85%. The dark black leather hanger, retainer loop and pommel strap, which shows minor wear/age. The leather remains very supple. The snap clip is fully functional and complete.
