Description: Beautiful and rare numbered E&F Horster slant grip army. This dagger is internally numbered #28 on the pommel the crossguard and the tang. The dagger is textbook early Horster with a beautifully detailed WKC Type-1 crossguard & medium orange damage free slant grip. Very nice damage free scabbard with a textbook large Horster throat and unique Horster scabbard bands only seen on the earliest daggers the bands show nice detail and hand work. The pommel is as good as they come - beautiful hand work and detail none finer. Blade has some scattered smudging and one section on the edge with some decent nicks. The blade despite the issues also has quite a bit of crossgrain evident and crisp maker mark. This is a very rare numbered Horster I have only seen a handful of these in collections and only a few for sale over many years and those sold between collectors you will not find another for sale any where in the world and not likely to see another.
