Description: Used and abused. That is a start of the description for this NSKK political dagger. The blade has been sharpened and the tip blunted. It has age spots, but little or no pitting. The motto has no darkening remaining. It is maker marked with SMF, Solingen. Gruppe marked Ns. The front of the grip has a chunk of wood missing near the battered SA logo, and a few small dings. The rear of the grip is missing a piece of wood near the crossguard, and also has a number of dings. The pommel nut was removed by some obliviot using a pair of pliers, from the looks of the gouges in it. The scabbard is missing almost all the black paint. The screws retaining the fittings were savagely attacked by a moron with an incorrectly sized screwdriver, but they are present. The ball tip is flattened nicely. At least it hasn't been polished to within an inch of its life. A nice candidate for a makeover, if one is so inclined. It is in rough shape, and priced accordingly.
