Description: Nice 1939 issued Wehrpass to a member of 2./Pionier-Btl 22 who served in 22.Luftlande-Division from early 1940 to early 1942. Campaign pages show entries for the airborne assault on Holland in 1940 as well as fighting in the Perekop Isthmus and around Sevastopol in the Crimea. Awarded Ost Medal, Krimschild and a Romanian Medal. Soldier was killed in Croatia by Partisans in July 1943 while serving with an Armee-Pferde-Park. Entry in Wehrpass states that he was killed by a 'head shot' and Wehrpass comes with a letter from his commanding officer to his family.
