    Hi Danny,
    The plane hit the lake upsidedown this is way the turret is intact...
    The rest of the bomber is down there!

    They don't know because the airplane is quite destroyed.
    Apparently in the 50's the us airforce tried to recovered it or something inside it...and used explosive to open the wreck. Also it seems that one wing was recovered by a fisherman some years ago and is now used as roof in a depot...

    Amazing. Thanks for sharing it. Air crews were brave but it took some guts to crawl into a ball torrent.
