Looks in remarkable condition for something left on a training area/range! I hope that its gone for restoration or preservation because it would be a shame for something like that to get cut up or used as a target.....

    Thanks

I think, all joking apart, that this was recovered for restoration, maybe even by Eddy !

Perhaps he will see this and confirm

i'm afraid somebody else beat me to it but it went to the best possible place. hill 112 in normandy as a memorial to the men that fought for control of it. click on the link for the story of one mans struggle to honour the men he fought alongside.

i'm not a 100% sure but i think the guy sitting on the centurion arv is adrian barrell a well known tank restorer and good guy to know, he's also a member of this forum and did a thread about the multibank engine rebuild he did for his sherman, an amazing bit of engineering. funnily enough it was after reading adrian's thread that i really got the tank bug (he's got a lot to answer for)
    all the best

Eddy8men: Thanks for answering my query. Did you get the Comet that was in a neighbouring crater?

Steven: Some pics of the Churchill in situ at Hill 112 would be great!
