lovely looking relic that. if that was mine id set about it carefully removing loose layers of rust so you can preserve the good metal, looks like if you scratch the surface you will find it solid underneath...ive found that if you leave the surface thick rust it just keeps eating away.

I have 1 in the same condition a Belgium Relic hunter found in the Ardennes about 10 years ago.
He painted it flatt Black.
He mailed it to me here in the USA , 2006.
The customs people held it for 2 months, than deliverd it minus the mag!
I was able to find a relic clip on Ebay.
Very interesting find.
If possible, please share with us under what circumstances the MP44 and the other guns were found.

Great 44's guys. Does yours still has a wet sheen to it Mario. Is it still wet or damp? You need to get that thing dried out, or it will keeping eating away.
