I know It is strange, but restoring vehicles is not considered bad, even by me!

    Cheers, Ade.

I agree some vehicles, if still in original condition should not be touched.

    Cheers, Ade.

Those jeeps are blast to drive! Light weight, easier to get unstuck, more maneuverable (although I never drove a Hummer) cheaper to produce in quantities etc. It's a shame the Hummer took over. But heck, they gave up the 1911A-1 for Beretta's 9 mili mili. Who knows whats next.
And, is that Lorry standing next that truck?

I've known about this Jeep for some time now (original British Airborne) welded on attachments for spare wheel etc, very nice project. I too have enquired if the old farmer would sell, you just had to look at the bloke to know the answer, you'd have to wait till Hell freezes over! Subsequently I hear the Jeep is no longer languishing in it resting place and has been recently liberated from captivity!!!

I went with Sam to find this Jeep - and what a struggle it was to find too!

We came across it in the end, after a 220 mile drive and a good muddy walk - only to be greeted by what looked like a cast member from the League of Gentlemen and to be told in no uncertain terms at all, that the jeep was definately not for sale and that it was in fact the subject of an 'ongoing, long term restoration'...then basically ushered off their property!! - it's such a shame really as not only is the Jeep being neglected but also that lovely Bedford truck too!

    Regards to all...Minty.
I've met the farmer in question, the League of Gentlemen reference could not be more spot on, (made my smile). Must have been a long day, I hear the Jeep has managed to escape!

    Regards Jim...

This jeep and the engine have both been stolen around Christmas time.Next time you trespass on other peoples property and boast to the world about what you have seen think about the damage you have already caused.

Messing with country people is a risky business, they nearly all own shotguns and are not afraid to use them.
