Article about: Good eye, petehi, you are spot on. I can see the taper under the tail. I think it's Nevada or Calif. There are some great crash sites out there. I always go on hiking adventures when I burn

    yep i know what you mean i recon i have about 5 years before girls are more interesting than airplanes lol.
    i think i will take up fishing then.
    the pick is a crankshaft from a JU88 that crashed on the northeast coast.
    it was strafing a ship that shot back and winged it. since it was low it couldent climb above the hight of the clifs bur crashed on the beach instead.
    not much left years of storms and tides have seen to that but a good day out.
    now that has to be more fun than girls LOL

    it seems snowdonia mountain range here in north wales was a popular place to crash your bomber during the war mostly navagation erors i believe
    there are b17 s lancs moscitoes all sorts all over the mountains it has bin many a year since i last walked the mountains couple of german bombers as well i believe lost returning from raids on manchester and liverpool

    You beat me by 20 years, I married my Welsh girl 2 years ago, but been in Wales since 78! Went back to the Anson, and a Ventura it's mixed up with a couple of years ago and there is very little left.
