Parts of a periscope?

but for what i wonder?

These are supposedly 2 parts of a periscope for a tank, i would guess US, but i dont know because there are no marks anywhere on these that give any information, but the prisms reflect quite nicely for being so old!
6 3/8th x 1 3/4 x 2 7/8th

id say the top ,replacable part of a very early m113 commanders capolar episcope
the paint is nato green
not khaki so post war

i can say definately not m3 sherman
ive worked on lots of shermans
and m113s
chefees ,m47 ,m48 m60 should i go on

tanks are my love and have been for over 30 years
i started on mk2 chieftains ,went on to be test driver for chaly 1
im allso a cent driver
tanks are my heart and soul

sorry no ,,the top of
the periscopes you show in your pics are not the ones in the original post
the episcope you show is from a sheman
the ones in the original post are diferent ,ie
in your pic four screws in the back slope
original post screws a cross the top
allso your pic US khaki ,,original post ,nato green
