    Sarbe 3

Whilst walking along the beach near Hornsea, East Yorkshire i picked up this ariel cover from a RAF 60's 70's 80's period emergency beacon. It amazes me that the last person to see it was a pilot sitting in his dinghy having ejected from his aircraft, possibly a lightning, awaiting his rescue.
The aluminium part has almost completely corroded away, but the plastic is in remarkably good condition.

There was a lightning that crashed in the area in 1970 where the pilot wasn't recovered, there is a theory that he was taken by aliens!! The aircraft was found intact on the sea bed with the canopy closed !
I like to think the pilot was rescued.
