The article that I read stated in excess of 230 million USD is expected, but either amount is substantial. Eighty percent of that will go to the Americans who found her. At 4,700m below the surface, that is quite a way to go for the booty...but that is indeed quite a haul. If I remember the article correctly, she was sent down by U101.

only problem is it's 4,700 metres deep !!! also its a war grave, the American people who where given the go ahead to find it are having 80% of the find..........

Funny how the article says it was a 'nazi' torpedo that hit the ship. First i've heard of munitions being allowed to join the party!

20% goes to the British ministry of transport I think it was. Will we see an improvement in the roads here. I doubt it very much. 4,700meters deep is about the depth of some of the pot holes around here.
