    the russians have got so much stuff they don't know what to do with it. if that tiger was anywhere else it would be restored and well preserved but who am i to critise they earned it all the hard way.

    In Russia, it seems it's all about money AND political/corrupt connections. I'd hate to be one gambling on the Russian legal system to protect any property rights, especially of a foriegnor...

    After the war the barrel was cut off for scrap salvage. You can even see the torch cuts at the gun mantle. In recent Bosnia the destroyed tanks would be cut up in bits by people trying to make a little cash. Eventually the tank looks like it's been eaten.
