Sorry about that Simon (and anyone else). Spotted my mistake and will go off to the naughty corner at once haha!

It does look like another iffy case to me but I would gladly be corrected if mistaken. No matter what, we will always be targeted by those of lesser morals I'm sure. Shameful.

I would think it would go for alot more than 200000$.It must be in very bad condition .It the falaise pocket in the village of Trun it use to have a panzers graveyard but was sold 5 years ago to a German museum.
You are referring to Madame Maurat's famous scrapyard. The contents were removed to Saumur late 70's/early 80's. See "After the Battle" no 8. Saumur's (running) Luchs was part of this scrapyard.

Just found this, while looking for more info on this Tiger, "In January 1944, one of the Leibstandarte's s.SS-Panzer-Abt 101 Tiger commanders, Michael Wittman, was awarded the Oakleaves to the Knight's Cross for his actions in halting the attack of an entire Soviet armoured brigade. The division was transferred to the Cherkassy area at the end of January, where it was assigned to III.Panzer-Korps, a part of 1.Panzer-Armee."
    Quoted from:- WWW.WAFFEN-SS.NO "1.SS Leibstandarte-SS Adolf Hilter"
    Regards to all, Simon.
The Tiger must be from either 13 / SS Panzer Regiment 1 LAH or from the s Panzer Abt 503 depending on where exactly it was found . The 13 / LAH lost or left behind in the Battle area a total of 4 Tigers as a result of combat counterattacking the Cherkassy pocket. Certainly s Panzer Abt 503 lost Tigers whilst fighting for Hill 239 near Shanderovka where the break out from the pocket started lost some Tigers but i'm not sure how many were left behind,

    regards

Found a few photos online of some remains in the former Trun scrapyard.
Seems these were taken in 2010.
    Cheers.
