    Hi, excellent news for all the members that will decide to visit portugal in the future.
    A “Liberator” PB4Y that crashed in the waters of Algarve in 1943 was finally discovered in 2001, and will now be a part of a scubadiving tour.
    It rests in the sea floor just 20 meters from the surface.
    From all the airmen only 4 survived the impact.
    Here`s a foto of the surving members of the crew.

    I feel a visit to Portugal coming on. Just need to work out if I can fit that prop in a suitcase on the way home.

    According to them, they are still looking for the fuselage of the plane.
    So far its nowhere to be found.
    All these history facts about the plane and crew are the result of the hard work of a forum member"solrac1970"
