I really feel sorry for you boys over there. A license to buy ammo ? A license to own a long arm ? That is sad.

Seems a big to do about nothing. They are likely junk from being under water for a period of time. We are not talking C4 or dynamite here.

And I agree, I can' t fathom the laws you guys are subject to from an outsiders perspective.

Interesting find but, speaking personally, if I had seen a briefcase in a river I would have wondered if it was full of money!

Few years ago was diving under a bridge on the Thames, pulled out a briefcase on opening it on the bankside it was half full of gold Krugerands, sovereigns etc valued at about £250,000. It was never reported missing nor was it ever claimed. Therefore it went to the treasury, no doubt went some way to pay for the Champagne at the next Conservative party conference......

All changed in the 90's mate. There was a massacre at dunblane primary school where a man walked in and shot about 20 little kiddies aged about 5.
Very sad, my kiddies are that age. Anyway, that introduced a hand gun ban and instigated strict gun laws. But its not a bad thing.
    cheers matty
