Looks too me like a nice rough/semi relic M40 SS. Then again I'm no decal characteristic expert, so... I guess wait for others for 100%. Did you find this yourself? Looks kinda like a damp and raw basement type find. Any SS soldier could have worn one of these from 1940 and onwards ---
Looks like a nice relic if it's real. Is the lid rusted through in spots, pinholes?
Hi guys, this helmet was taken from inside Germany in 1946 and back to Norway. It layed on the ground upside down. Thats why it is some rust on it. And of course it is 100 % real. It has some markings inside like what I belive to be the number 5023.
Hi, I would not like to say 100% from these images, but I think you have a good ET made helmet and decal. I cannot see any obvious red flags, but a nice straight on decal close up would be good. Leon.
Can you see the maker code? I say it looks Original if the maker code corresponds to ET.
Can you take a close-up that is sharper ?
Best put your camera on a solid base so that it doesn't shake.
Nice lid! If it were mine, I know I couldn't resist a little Oxalic acid bath, just to fresh'in her up a little.
Despite the damage that is a textbook ET pattern decal. My compliments.
Is this a seldom type of ss helmet?
