And finally the helmet on display in one of my display rooms. It is on a torso form with my Der Fuhrer Obersturmfuhrer tunic named and researched to Strobl which along with the likewise named brocade belt and buckle came from WRF member and friend here Robert Hassler. Some may remember when he had this outstanding tunic for sale. And yes, what you see in the background is real. I have a collecting problem limited not just to helmets...

    Very pretty! Any more photos?

Did you see the droop bill SS Dave Shirlin just put up for sale? It looks a little like this one.

Actually Dave is kind enough to ask me to assist him on these more exotic SS helmets to give him another set of critical eyeballs, so I was fortunate enough to have seen this a few weeks ago. It is a textbook reissue black parade helmet he has there and even though there is that dent in the dome I think the price is outstanding.

    ......Samir, are you listening???

Thanks John, had some free time this weekend and had a request here for an Austrian DD SS so Corey's is my command.

    LOL! Your too much Doug.

I loved that helmet. I didn't want to get rid of it. The only dark gray droop bill I have ever seen since I started collecting helmets. And this model is the most desired droop bill as the visor comes straight out. Theres only one known twin to my knowledge, and it's a double decal SS & finished in black.

Doug, just out of curiosity, what ever happened to this "Fritz Buhler"?? Did he survive the war?

I owned that one at one time, if it's the one I am thinking of.

I am afraid I do not know Samir. Like many of these files it is incomplete.
