If there were even a hint this was an ex-SS black parade helmet Ken would not be selling it on his bargain basement for $250. It is as he aptly described and priced accordingly.

Early SA units sometimes used the swastika on the side like that, also the Fire Brigade did too, and as the swastika seems to be painted over a party shield, my bets on the latter, either way, it was a cheap helmet
