Re: D-day camo SS helmet
Not sure if it was a rule, that I don't know, but SS helmet numbers in general were small in comparison to other branches, so you can imagine an SS camo. Wait for Doug to chime in, he can give you more info on this.

I would say $7000 (easy) and if you wait it out you can get more!. For those who dont know, SS camo lids are very rare and highly desired by collectors. If I ever get one, I would not let go of it!

I have no plan on selling it at the present time.
I would never be able to replace it if i sell it to hard to find original camo ss helmets.

Re: D-day camo SS helmet
Its a great piece Chris! You can see both the camo & decal and those are what collectors are looking for. I have seen SS camos with the decal either being removed or just buried completely under the paint to the point where u can't even tell theres even a decal there, but a camo with a visible decal under the paint is a screamer!

It would have been nice to find a couple more of them.

Thank you Jim.
I am still waiting for more info on it.
I do know now that the helmet was left at his farm by a menber of grave registration who was staying in his farm for a time.
