As others have said a fake decal, and if the decal is bad you know the camel is bad too.

Don't know about these Andy. One thing i wondered about was what do you need a net on desert helmet for? Maybe they used a net i don't know, but the net is not 70yrs old.
Here is an article about them Lars. Is this one painted the same colour all over, in the dome too? Is it warm enough for digging yet mate?

I think 'desert' colours were often used on the eastern front also.

I think 'desert' colours were often used on the eastern front also.
That is correct. Especially in the southern regions. Lots of "desert" camo items here.

Not a fan of the liner I suspect fake same with the strap, not close enough pic for me however. Either way - yuch!
