    Default DD SS Ground Dug

This is a ground dug helmet which I purchased awhile ago from russia.
I will sell it soon as after purchaseing it their a signs of the past owner inside the helmet
When I purchased it the seller never made any mention of this.
It is something I dont like having in my collection...diffrent strokes for diffrent folks I guess.

A mate bought a stack of 10 ground dug helmets from Russia and found a skull cap inside one....we contacted the Tanunda German war cemetery here in Australia, th largest German war cemetery outside Europe I believe....they took custody of the remains and I believe they were placed in the cemetery

I'd return it to the seller as its been equipped with what appears as known reproduction SS and party decals, as I believe many "relic SS" have been to get a few hundred more out of a near worthless piece of rusted metal.

I have never seen a Pocher runic or party decal look like those which look identical to a well known fake set, the thin runes, narrow center break to the runes, thin shield, poorly offset circle in the red shield, are the signs of this fake and the construction from the pics appears to be akin to the fake vs a real one. I see nothing on these that indicates a real set of SS decals.

Before you buy anything (especially from Russia with respect to my Russian friends) post it.

Despite the bad decals I still find this lid interesting. The blood n hair is gruesome and makes me wonder what killed him. A shrapnel hit? Sharp shooter? Who ever he was RIP.
