Never put any militaria in direct sunlight, ever!
It should be fine!!!! Display it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity....
Mine has survived well over the last few months, displaying it on a helmet stand, and I give it a dust now and again!!

I bought a couple of fragments of original SS camo helmet cover cheap recently which I've just been framing it'll go nicely with the helmet!

Nice helmet and its gone to young eager collector but i think it very overpriced IMO the main thing if your happy thats all's that matters...

I've posted photos before but only in reply to someones else's thread and I can't recall whose thread it was.
There's a better photo in this thread My incredibly modest SS collection where you'll see that there is what looks like auto body filler where someone at some point tried to 'repair' the corroded skirt So no, I wouldn't be saying a winter camo relic unfortunately.
